ADVERTISERS PULLING OUT OF BET’S “A HOT GHETTO MESS”
This last headline hits close to home. It looks like some advertisers don’t like the “stereotypes” that are being presented on BET’s new show “A Hot Ghetto Mess.”

I’ve been negotiating with Black Box Productions, the LA production company that’s developing the series because they were planning to use one of my interviews in the show (and even pay me for the clip). One of the company’s reps described the show this way in an email to My Urban Report:

It’s a compilation of funny, unique, and sometimes thought-provoking clips featuring African Americans, but will also include Caucasians, Latinos, and other ethnic groups. It will be kind of a cross between America‘s Funniest Home Videos” and “In Living Color,” but with some savvy social commentary about the state of modern culture. It will have a cutting edge tone similar to the humor of Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.

It looks like “A Hot Ghetto Mess,” is in some hot water right now.
