@stevegarfield Interview: A Vlog Pioneer

I admire people who have the vision to not only embrace technology, but who also want to share what they know.
Steve Garfield is one of those individuals. He’s been vlogging since before we knew what a vlog was.
There was no YouTube when he got started, and now he’s sharing his production secrets in a book titled, “Get Seen: Online video secrets to building your business.”
Garfield took a moment to share his knowledge, and he’s my first official interviewee using Wetoku a website that allows two-way talk back interview recording.
Using Wetoku
To give you some production tips when using Wetoku: both Steve and I wore headphones to minimize the audio feedback, we both used an external microphone, and our iSight webcams.
We both were framed up in the center of the screen and used a table light as a key light for our faces.
Steve’s office is also well decorated, and his bookshelf and the book poster made for a great background. I haven’t staged my office yet, but soon.
As far as Wetoku, I like site. As you watch our interview, you’ll notice that I had a sight audio delay on my end, so there are some extended pauses in between his responses and my questions. Overall the site works great.
Thanks Steve for spending a moment with MyUrbanReport.
