MUR PRESENTS: FACES OF THE UNINSURED

My Urban Report in conjunction with Absolute Presence is proud to announce the debut of “Faces of the Uninsured.”

This is a citizen-journalism project about people who are uninsured, under-uninsured and who are looking for health insurance across the country.

In this first installment, you’ll meet David Boyd, a former Wal-Mart employee now out on disability. He has no health insurance and has mounted a $9,000.00 hospital bill.

    Very important to put a face on this issue – thanks for posting Mr. Boyd’s situation, knowing full well there are 1,000s upon 1,000s more in a similar boat. It’s time healthcare is available (and affordable) for everyone.
