Sen. Barack Obama resigned on Friday from Trinity United Church of Christ after 20 years, in light of the latest controversial remarks from that church’s pulpit, this time from the visiting Rev. Michael Pfleger, who mocked Sen. Hillary Clinton, saying she feels
frustrated because of her sense of white entitlement.

ATLANTA JOURNALISTS OF COLOR TO UNITE
When the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists gather for their monthly June membership meeting, they’ll be joined by members of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and Asian American Journalists Association.

The event celebrates continued collaboration between the organizations and will promote attendance of the 2008 Unity Convention in July, which brings together more than 10,000 black, Hispanic, Asian and Native American journalists every four years. This year’s Unity Convention is in Chicago, July 23-27.
