The tornado that ripped through downtown Atlanta left its mark throughout the city. As mainstream outlets jumped to cover the action, so did Atlanta’s vloggers. I ended up freelancing with Mario Page for CNN Friday night and into Saturday.

We helped CNN correspondent Cal Perry with his live shots. I ran a second “bump” camera that was used to show the damage in a split screen during his hits. I also shot some b-roll, interviews, and a look live. That’s all TV talk, but what it means is that we stayed busy.

Back to the independent media. As I was racing out to the scene with Mario, Grayson Daughters was also on her way downtown.

Her video is posted below, and don’t sleep on Shelbinator, he captured some images that the mainstream ignored.

Here is some footage from Mario and me Friday night after the twister hit, and the last clip is some aftermath video I shot Monday. There’s a lot of clean up to do.
